Big Sean to headline Homecoming 2015 Concert ​

Student Unions & Activities and the Program Board Coordinators are proud to present the Homecoming 2015 concert on Friday, September 25 at TCF Bank Stadium, featuring performances from Marc E. Bassy at 7:45 p.m., Smallpools at 8:20 p.m., and Big Sean at 9:25 p.m. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

Headliner, Big Sean, is an accomplished rapper from Detroit, Michigan. He released his third studio album, "Dark Sky Paradise," in February. "Dark Sky Paradise" released at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Several of Big Sean’s songs have been featured on the US Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, Big Sean has received numerous awards and nominations. This year alone, his song “I Don’t F**K With You” was nominated for top rap song at the Billboard Music Awards. He was nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards: Best Hip-Hop Video and won Best Video With A Social Message.   

Opening for Big Sean is American indie pop band, Smallpools. Their songs “Dreaming” andKaraoke” have been featured on Billboard’s Alternative Songs Chart at number 23 and number 38. They will be sure to energize the crowd with their upbeat and catchy tunes. Following up their lively performance in the summer of 2014 at Lollapalooza, Smallpools released their first full length album, LOVETAP!”, earlier this year.

San Francisco-born RnB singer songwriter Marc E. Bassy has written songs for 2 Chainz, Sean Kingston, Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa. His debut solo EP "Only The Poets," was released last summer.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 4 at 10am at The concert is an all ages show, but please note there is mature content. Ticket price for University of Minnesota - Twin Cities students is $20 and $40 for the general public. Suites and loge boxes will be available for purchase, as well. Those with a student ticket must show a valid University of Minnesota Twin Cities UCard upon entry or they will be required to pay for a General Public ticket.
