On Thursday, members of the House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee released legislation to fully fund the University of Minnesota's 2020-21 budget request.
University President Eric Kaler released the following statement:
"We are grateful to members of the House of Representatives for fully funding the University of Minnesota. By investing in the University, the House is showing its strong commitment to Minnesota students and the future workforce of this state.
"This is a step in the right direction. We look forward to working with lawmakers of both parties, as well as the Governor, to see this proposal enacted."
