What: Tour to preview University of Minnesota's 2016 capital requests

On Wednesday, December 9, media are invited to join University of Minnesota leaders on a tour across the Twin Cities campus to preview the system-wide capital requests for the 2016 legislative session.
The tour will begin promptly at 1 p.m. Media should arrive at the ground floor entry of Pillsbury Hall to be escorted to room 209. Please RSVP to Emmalynn Bauer, [email protected], (612) 626-1720.
The afternoon will include stops at Pillsbury Hall, the Health Sciences Education Facility and the Plant Growth Research Facility. Associate Vice President for Facilities Management Mike Berthelsen, along with Chancellors Lendley Black (Duluth), Jacqueline Johnson (Morris) and Fred Wood (Crookston) will give remarks. John Coleman, dean of the College of Liberal Arts; Terry Bock, associate vice president and chief of staff for health sciences; Valery E. Forbes, dean of the College of Biological Sciences and several U of M students will join the tour.
The schedule for the afternoon is as follows:
- 1:00 p.m. Presentations by Associate Vice President for Facilities Management Mike Berthelsen and Chancelors Wood, Johnson and Black
- 1:45 p.m. Tour of Pillsbury Hall
- 2:15 p.m. Tour of Health Sciences Education Facility
- 2:45 p.m. Tour of Plant Growth Research Facility
