What: State of the University address
When: Thursday, March 3, 2016, 1 - 2 p.m.
Where: Coffman Memorial Union Theater, 300 Washington Ave. S.E., Minneapolis
Media Note: President Kaler will have limited availability prior to the address from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, but not afterwards (due to scheduling). An embargoed copy of the remarks will be made available by request the morning of March 3.
University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler will reflect on his first five years in office, and outline his priorities for the upcoming year during his fifth State of the University address. The program will occur on Thursday, March 3 from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Coffman Memorial Union Theater, 300 Washington Ave. S.E., Minneapolis.
This year’s address will touch on achievements during the last five years and the challenges ahead, including human participant research, diversity and inclusion, and tuition/financial aid philosophy.
There will be a moderated question-and-answer period following the address. Faculty, staff and students may submit questions in advance. During the address, questions can be posed via Twitter (#UMNsotu) or in person.
The following sites at U of M campuses across the state will host watch parties of the event and have an opportunity for questions as well:
