UMN President Eric Kaler to deliver final State of the University address

Where: Coffman Memorial Union Theater, 300 Washington Ave. S.E., Minneapolis

University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler will deliver his eighth and final State of the University address this week, discussing developments of the last year and reflecting on his tenure as the University’s 16th President. 

The event will take place Thursday, March 14 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the Coffman Memorial Union Theater, 300 Washington Ave. S.E., Minneapolis.

Following a brief formal address, President Kaler will be joined by Lori Sturdevant of the Star Tribune for a moderated discussion. Students, faculty, staff and the public are encouraged to submit questions for President Kaler before his address, and he will accept questions on Twitter (#UMNsotu) and from those in the audience.

University campuses around Minnesota will host watch parties for the address in the following locations: 

  • Crookston - 101 Dowell Hall
  • Duluth - 173 Kirby Plaza
  • Morris - 45 Humanities Fine Arts Building
  • Rochester - 397 University Square
