University of Minnesota to host conference on “Research with Human Participants: The National Debates”

On Wednesday, December 2, the University of Minnesota will host a public conference on “Research with Human Participants: The National Debates” at Coffman Memorial Union.
 
The conference brings together top experts from across the country to discuss the national debates on research with human participants and current thinking on best practices. Researchers, policymakers, bioethicists, patient advocates and other stakeholders will explore the topic in depth and from multiple points of view.
 
This event is free of charge, and the public is welcome to attend. Because of space limitations, advance registration—found at consortium.umn.edu/humanresearch—is encouraged.
 
This conference is sponsored by the University of Minnesota’s Office of the Vice President for Research and the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment & the Life Sciences.
