The University of Minnesota hosted the 10th annual HopeDay Festival Sunday, September 11, at TCF Bank Stadium. The event, held in conjunction with the HopeKids organization, is the largest community service event of the year for the Gopher athletic department.

More than 1,000 HopeKids children and their families visited the stadium that day for a host of fun-filled activities. HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities, and a unique support community for families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition.

Started in 2006, the HopeDay Festival began with a small event within the Bierman track—with about 300 family members attending. Now, the event has grown to take over both the concourse and football field at TCF Bank Stadium.
