Introduction
Craig W. Hedberg, Ph.D., is a professor and interim division head in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota.
Hedberg’s research focuses on foodborne illness and infectious disease outbreaksworked on several national groups to prevent foodborne illness, including the CDC's Food Safety Modernization Act Surveillance Working Group.
Hedberg’s work also focuses on surveillance, outbreak investigation, and public health preparedness.
Before entering academia, Hedberg was the supervisor of the Vectorborne and Zoonotic Diseases Unit at the Minnesota Department of Health.
