M. Kumi Smith, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota.
Smith studies HIV and STI epidemiology, particularly in resource limited settings. She also is interested in infectious disease dynamics, social determinants of health, and health equity.
Smith serves as director of the HIV/STI Intervention and Prevention Studies (HIPS) program.
