Introduction

As director of graduate studies, Mary Meyer, Ph.D., supervises and coordinates the horticulture program, guides and improves the educational experience, and serves as a liaison among students, faculty, staff, and administration. 

Meyer is a professor and extension horticulturist at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and is curator of the grass collection. She teaches plant identification, and studies native and landscape grass propagation, use, and culture. She was chair of the board of directors of the American Society of Horticultural Science, 2014−15.
