Introduction

Soumya Sen, Ph.D., is an associate professor, McKnight Presidential Fellow, and Jim and Mary Lawrence Fellow at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Sen’s research takes a multi-disciplinary approach involving computer networks, economics, and human-computer interaction. His research interests are in Internet economics, communication systems, cybersecurity, and social networks.

Sen’s research has appeared in MIT Technology Review, Wall Street Journal, ACM Tech News, Yahoo News, Politico, and several European news media.

Sen founded the Smart Data Pricing Forum, which promotes industry-academic interaction on Internet pricing research. He is also cofounder of DataMi, which provides Internet pricing solutions for telecom providers around the world.
