Technological Leadership Institute Presents: Cyber Security Summit 2017

As a founding partner, the University of Minnesota’s Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the seventh annual Cyber Security Summit. As cyber threats continue to evolve and become more complex, cross-sector collaboration is increasingly important to prevent and address challenges. The Cyber Security Summit brings together industry, government and academic leaders to discuss foreign and domestic cybersecurity problems and best practices.

The two-day event will feature nationally-renowned cybersecurity experts, including featured speakers:

  • Dr. Stacey Dixon, deputy director, Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) “Combating Short and Long-Term Cyber Threats”
  • Jim Libersky, president, The Barrier Group, “Running the Defense: Securing the Super Bowl”  
  • Matt Loeb, CEO, Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), “Year in Review”
  • Hala Furst, cybersecurity and technology business liaison, Department of Homeland Security, “Cyber Byte™: Real-Life Lessons Learned”

A number of TLI faculty and alumni will also be speaking at the event. The Summit will offer sessions on a variety of topics, such as securing customers’ credit and debit card data, phishing trends, compliance, breaches and sensitive documents, securing modernized critical infrastructure, cyber risk management and response strategies and much more.
