Introduction
Lynn Blewett, Ph.D., is a professor in the School of Public Health and director of the State Health Access Data Assistance Center at the University of Minnesota.
Blewett conducts research on the factors affecting health insurance coverage and access to and use of health care as these factors relate to state health policy.
Blewett has published over 50 articles related to health and healthcare. She teaches graduate courses on the U.S. healthcare system and international health systems. She’s a member of the National Academy of Social Insurance, was appointed to the Board of Scientific Counselors for the National Center for Health Statistics, and served on the boards of AcademyHealth and the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Blewett’s health policy experience includes legislative work for the U.S. Senate and state policy work as director of the Health Economics Program for the Minnesota Department of Health.
